Here I am at the writers' residency at Bundanon on the south coast of New South Wales. My writing efforts today were supervised by a helpful wallaby who watched me through the window in front of my desk.
Louisa – A Historical Novel
Set in Sydney between 1880 and 1895, Louisa is inspired by the lives of women lured to Australia in search of independence, only to find their choices limited to ‘wife’ or ‘domestic servant’. Will Louisa overcome these constraints and achieve her dream?
