Thank you so much Don!
As I just commented to GP, I am so time poor at the moment that the person who made the comment had to wait three months for my response!
Anyway, as I told her, it was good “food for further thought”. I’d like to get back to a weekly Sunday post, and I have a half-written one on the outcome of a referendum to give our First Nations people a “Voice” in the constitution. That would be a good follow on to this post. I know you read the first part of that referendum story.
And fyi. I have committed to being my girlfriend’s bridesmaid at her April wedding in San Francisco. She reminded me she had been mine. (Okay, THAT was 57 years ago, and the marriage DID NOT END WELL – but I got her point).
So! I am girding my loins and now thinking about a rail trip from SD to New York (Great American Southern Trail) and returning to SF on the Great American Majestic Landscapes (NY>Chicago>Colorado>etc).
If only the Aussie Amtrak representative would return my emails … (sighhhhh – Do I have to do EVERYTHING for myself?)

I am so eager to read your posts on the US train trip. The answer to your last sentence, that is usually the way to get anything done.

I only vaguely remember that post, so it was good to reread it.
