U3A is an acronym for University of the Third Age. This moniker describes that time of life when people have retired from “work” but not from learning. I will be addressing the Wollongong chapter this coming Monday – 27th July ’26 – at 11am.
My topic? “Louisa” – From Fact to Fascinating Fiction.
I’ve just put the finishing touches to my PowerPoint presentation. It will unravel the mystery of a woman history nearly forgot — and show how her scandal, resilience and untold courage became the foundation of Louisa, transforming archival fragments into living, breathing fiction.
I hope many members and their friends will come along to hear this story. The Wollongong group gather at The Salvation Army Conference Centre 11-13 Burelli Street Wollongong.
